Kyaiktiyo Reisen

Mount Kyaiktiyo, also known as Golden Rock, in Mon State is a spectacular mountainous complex with a pagoda resting on the edge of its cliff. The Kyaiktiyo Pagoda (24.4m high) is an important center for pilgrims as it is believed to contain one of Buddha’s hair. Due to its position and structure, Myanmar people believe the pagoda was placed there by the Nats (spirits) over 2,500 years ago.
